Where aviation maintenance capacity actually sits in Asia

Fleet growth in the region has outpaced maintenance capacity in places. That shapes where parts need to be, and when.

Asia carries a large and growing share of the world fleet, and maintenance capacity has not expanded evenly alongside it. Some capabilities are concentrated in a handful of facilities, which means slot availability rather than part availability can become the binding constraint on returning an aircraft to service.

The practical implication for procurement is that parts and slots need planning together. A component that arrives before its slot ties up capital; one that arrives after it extends the grounding. Our aviation desk works backwards from the maintenance schedule rather than forwards from the purchase order, and keeps AOG routing ready for the cases where the plan does not survive.
